AMA News
We have been involved in introducing modeling to children of all ages, sending children to camp, doing flying demos at local schools, churches, and parks. We have also set up simulators and static displays at various locations as an educational experience to our community. We are always open to new ideas to promote our hobby to others in a safe way.
LARKS Mission Statement
To promote model aircraft building and flying as a family oriented hobby, to freely and openly share what we have collectively learned and experienced, and to provide an enjoyable, friendly and safe environment for our fellow hobbyists and guests.

Government Relations Update July 30,2018
This 80 mm twin 12 blade EDF is an engineering marvel, and though it still hasn't taken off the runway, it is an impressive piece of work.

We got to view the "guts" and wiring. Wow, this is possibly the most complicated model ever to grace our fields. It has a rigid aluminum wing box assembly with pre-installed servoless actuators to work the swept wing. Motion RC says the plane will fly at 38 mph with the wings extended to over 100 mph with the wings swept back.

Flex Innovations Aura-8
"The Aura 8 is the an advanced flight control system for fixed wing aircraft. It Is very lightweight and compatible with all major radio brands. You no longer need to spend a fortune, nor be restricted to specific radio types to experience state-of-the-art control.

The Aura 8 is designed to enhance the pilot's experience, while not interfering with the pilot's control. Your aircraft will fly as if it were bigger, and in less wind, even though it is as agile as you want it to be."-Flex Innovations

Bought one from Rusty at Pelion RC. Can't wait to install it in my Extreme Flight 60 inch Laser-V2.

Drone Education Guide has published the definitive education guide to multi-rotor aircraft.

Discussions on terminology, insurance, repair, history, and skills required to fly these contraptions all in one locations!
Ever wonder how this all got started?

Did you know there were remote controlled aircraft in the 19th century?

Or that in WWII, the US Army and Navy used Radioplanes as artillery drones? The photo above is a photo from 1927 from the RAE of a cordite fired catapult launched monoplane.

This is a pretty extensive discussion about our hobby. If you're an "old hand" or a "newby" to RC flying, it makes interesting reading.
