Utah to consider flights over 400 feet as a misdemeanor
UPDATE 3/2/2017:
Thanks to everyone’s efforts, an amendment was added to S.B. 111 clarifying that anyone who flies model aircraft for recreation must either comply with SB111 OR the Special Rule For Model Aircraft.
The Special Rule For Model Aircraft, sometimes referred to as Section 336 or 14 CFR 101 Subpart E, recognizes community-based safety programming and allows our members to operate under our programming which includes flight over 400 feet.
We have been involved in introducing modeling to children of all ages, sending children to camp, doing flying demos at local schools, churches, and parks. We have also set up simulators and static displays at various locations as an educational experience to our community. We are always open to new ideas to promote our hobby to others in a safe way.
LARKS Mission Statement
To promote model aircraft building and flying as a family oriented hobby, to freely and openly share what we have collectively learned and experienced, and to provide an enjoyable, friendly and safe environment for our fellow hobbyists and guests.
Another Warbird! This one's been out for a while and is about the best Corsair you can find.
This Giant Scale, 85 inch wingspan, 60 cc WWII Fighter has fascinated me since the late 70's with the television show, Baa Baa Black Sheep and the exploits of Pappy Boington.
Might be a little pricey for some, but this one has quality written all over it.
Horizon Hobby has been a LARKS Event Sponsor in the Past and has been one of the go-to online retailers for many years. Home to Spektrum Radios and a plethora of RC aircraft, cars, tanks, and multi-rotor, if you can dream about it (RC wise), they've got it.
In August 1943, a group of twenty-seven young men under the leadership of Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington (who was later awarded the Medal of Honor) were joined together to form the original "Blacksheep" of VMF-214.
Herb Dickerson brought up that he was working on a flight demonstration at the McEntire ANG Base, in Eastover SC, on 5-7 May 2017. Flights will be from the taxiway to the field.
Construction to begin shortly. We have one new member:

This is an Old Fashion Fun Fly to say goodbye to this old field that served us for more than 35 years! There is one runway and one heli area, it's best not to fly scale jets from this runway, everything else is fine.
