We have been involved in introducing modeling to children of all ages, sending children to camp, doing flying demos at local schools, churches, and parks. We have also set up simulators and static displays at various locations as an educational experience to our community. We are always open to new ideas to promote our hobby to others in a safe way.
LARKS Mission Statement
To promote model aircraft building and flying as a family oriented hobby, to freely and openly share what we have collectively learned and experienced, and to provide an enjoyable, friendly and safe environment for our fellow hobbyists and guests.
As seen on the Link of the Month above, this beautiful creature can take some gorgeous video. A little pricey at $1200; it is not for everyone. You can find it at Best Buy stores (if not out of stock), Atlanta Hobby, or even Amazon (look for some interesting bundles). It has all of the goodies we've come to expect from the higher level consumer quads, including obstacle avoidance (no, it's not crash proof!).
Atlanta Hobby is primarily a mail order outfit but they do have an area where you can browse and buy planes, helis, quads, parts, and supplies.
Located in Cumming, GA, just north of Atlanta, they pride themselves as the USA's largest Drone and UAV supplier. Aerial photography and Part 107 flight training specialist.
