LARKS is dedicated to promoting the hobby of model aviation primarily in the Lexington, SC area, and around our state. This enjoyable hobby consists of building and flying radio controlled model aircraft. Our primary goal is to promote safety while flying RC model aircraft. LARKS is chartered with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). The AMA provides liability insurance to the club and to each member.

Larks is a family environment and does not allow the use of drugs or alcohol at any our flying fields, events, or contest.
Our dues structure follows:
LARKS West (includes use of LARKS East Field) $125.00 per year
LARKS East only $75.00 per year
There are no longer any initiation fees and since the majority of our members are over 65 years of age, there is no longer a Senior Discount.
Photos of our main flying field (Larks West) may be seen here.
Our club has several qualified instructors who will be glad to teach you to fly your airplane at no charge. Anyone interested in learning about RC model aircraft is encouraged to attend the regular monthly meeting at the Flight Deck Restaurant (109-A Old Chapin Rd - Lexington, SC (803) 957-5990) on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Members will be happy to provide information and assistance concerning airplane kits, helicopters, engines, radio equipment, and accessories.
Please use our contact page to email one of our officers for more information.
