We have been involved in introducing modeling to children of all ages, sending children to camp, doing flying demos at local schools, churches, and parks. We have also set up simulators and static displays at various locations as an educational experience to our community. We are always open to new ideas to promote our hobby to others in a safe way.
LARKS Mission Statement
To promote model aircraft building and flying as a family oriented hobby, to freely and openly share what we have collectively learned and experienced, and to provide an enjoyable, friendly and safe environment for our fellow hobbyists and guests.

FMS had their new 1700 mm TigerCat on display. They told me the Twin engine ARF should be available later this summer. It's a big 'un and should fly great off the grass.

From what I saw, I'll be one of the first to signup for the waiting list.

Wow!!!!

Photos from the 2017 Nall
The 2017 Joe Nall, once again, was an outstanding collection of flying machines, flight demos, and an over all great time! For those of you who did not get the chance to attend this year, I have included many of the photos I had taken over my two day stay.

There are 6 pages of thumbnail photos that link to 1024 size images. Video of the Nall is soon to follow!

There were many beautiful aircraft, but none more impressive!
The Northrop (later Northrop Grumman) B-2 Spirit, also known as the Stealth Bomber, is an American heavy penetration strategic bomber, featuring low observable stealth technology designed for penetrating dense anti-aircraft defenses; it is a flying wing design with a crew of two.

We had a fairly good turn-out for our fun-fly. Great fellowship, flying, good food, and fun were had by all.

We also raised 500 dollars for charity in the Memory of Mr. Lewis Hallman. Mr Hallman leased us the field on Franklin Road for many years. The money was sent to the Steadman Baptist Church building fund.

Thanks to our contest director Michael Gill and Paul Bergstrand for a fun time!

Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Government Relations Update April 2017

2017 is shaping up to be another busy year on the legislative front. At the federal and local level, some legislators are discussing bills that could harm our hobby. We take these legislative proposals seriously and wanted to share an update on our efforts to protect recreational flying. While there are some challenges ahead, with your help, we are confident the model aircraft hobby will continue to thrive for generations to come.
