We have been involved in introducing modeling to children of all ages, sending children to camp, doing flying demos at local schools, churches, and parks. We have also set up simulators and static displays at various locations as an educational experience to our community. We are always open to new ideas to promote our hobby to others in a safe way.
LARKS Mission Statement
To promote model aircraft building and flying as a family oriented hobby, to freely and openly share what we have collectively learned and experienced, and to provide an enjoyable, friendly and safe environment for our fellow hobbyists and guests.
E-flite has a new 3 engine parkflyer-the Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) Convergence in BNF and PNP versions ($249 and $219 respectively). The video (see above) is very impressive. It goes from hover to zoom with a flip of a switch. It's gotta be the easiest RC plane to land and take off ..... ever!
This is a fascinating concept. It's like the product of mating a multirotor with a flying wing. Watch how one pilot take off from the back of his SUV (probably not recommended). How many planes do you see that can fly backwards?!
The meeting was held on December 1. Membership renewals, roofing for the LARKS West field, vandalism at the field, and field services at both the LARKS East and LARKS West locations were discussed.
Discussions for a second/alternate website webmaster and requests for photos for the website were also brought up as new business.
E-flite Convergence VTOL
You might find him at LARKS West on Sundays before noon. Walt is another expert pilot and puts on quite a show!.

A few miscreants decided to have a little fun at the LARKS West field the week after Thanksgiving. These criminals destroyed electrical equipment, knocked over trash cans, and pushed over our port-a-potty. From the looks of the field they took their cars for a little off-roading. NOT FUNNY!!!!
